Last night I was getting ready for bed and a torrent of thought came over me. An absurd truth came became indescribable clear and the thought of it seemed comical and extremely foreboding. It is this. 'Donald Trump is president of the United States.' I know okay, I know. Many people you talk to already are up in arms about his provocations towards North Korea, threatening the futures of DACA recipients, the pressure he applied to legislators of the Republican Party in order to hastily push tax reform through, and the list goes on. It's all real and it's all concerning. Now I promise, this is not a maudlin rant about the state of our country although it can be disconcerting when you start to go down that dark, damp, cavernous path which inevitably comes to our ultimate doom.What I'd like to examine is the above truth.
